Known Issues on Anaplan Formulas Communication and Subscription
As a model builder and an Anaplan Partner, I would like to be notified of all known issues to existing Anaplan formulas/functions so that I can quickly determine whether the function I am about to use is impacted by known issues and what workarounds are available to mitigate the issue(s) until it is fixed so that my models…

'Concatenate' as a Summary Method for Text formatted line item
It would be great to have 'Concatenate' as a Summary Method for Text formatted line item (along with First Non-blank and Last Non-blank). Sometimes, there might be a need to consolidate bunch of text inputs in a line item at a higher level in hierarchy. This functionality would help achieve that. Also, if this summary…

Isfirstoccurrence - Argument for whether to consider Case-Sensitivity
I think it would be a better option to have as a model builder. Currently, Isfirstoccurrence deals with Case-Sensitive data as separate occurrences for eg. NA and na would both be seen as separate occurrences. There are many cases where, as a model-builder, You don't want this to happen. So, having an argument to confirm…

Update Subsets dynamically - Formula driven Boolean
It would be nice to have the subsets updated dynamically using a formula driven boolean linking to the subsets as a formula, just like how we have the option to link Display Name to a formula in a module. This would certainly eliminate much needed efforts of running the action every time when we have to update the subset.…

Generate Code for Assign function - similar to display name attribute
It would be nice to have a functionality which can generate code / auto-populate code, just like how a display name is populated. A property, specifying the code attribute could be useful and reduce the effort needed to create actions and line items to generate code. When we create an item using the assign functionality,…

Please change the layout of blueprint view!
The New UX is great and has drastically improved the end-user experience however, the model builder experience has really lagged behind. Anaplan models should be as easy to build as they are to use. There are some really easy wins to be had that will drastically improve the experience for model builders, in this…

Summary Methods Based On Line Items - Product as an example or Weighted totals
Hi All, I feel that the summary methods in Anaplan could be improved further by including more flexible options to use other line items (same dimensionality) to influence summary method. For example on a model I have been building recently, many of the summaries require the product of 2 line items divided by the total of…

Pre-calculation check for duplicate line items
I am sure the acute pain felt when locking-up the model for simply creating a duplicate line item is felt by many model builders. Please could we have a simple check (this already happens elsewhere in the model e.g. actions) that ensures there are no duplicate line items before the model is calculated/refreshed? It only…

Custom Blue Print View
A simple suggestion to help with the organisation and maintenance of models (and I assume a really simple suggestion to implement): Allow model builders to save blueprint views (in the same way it works for regular views) and even change the default model blueprint view for all modules so that we can change the order of…

Subset of Versions
Can we have a subset of Versions so that whenever needed, we can use single version member in the modules? Currently I can think of one use case when we have to drive opening & closing of periods for users to enable data entry only for a specifically opened period or set of periods. There may be better use cases as well…

ALLPERIODS Value function
We currently have time functions to return the MONTHVALUE, QUARTERVALUE, YEARVALUE etc... it would be helpful to add a final function which will return the Time. All Periods value, this would enable developers to avoid having to add summary methods to determine the all periods value. It may be there is a work-around but ran…

Drag & Drop Manage Views
The current process for managing saved views for modules is a bit time consuming. If you have a lot of saved views for a module and you need to sort them out. You need to click each saved view and either click "Move Up" or "Move Down", then it would still take time for the system to refresh. So imagine if you have 10 or…

IRR function to operate on a specified time period ranges
Hello team I would propose an idea of IRR function enhancement to operate on more dynamic environment and respect Anaplan time dimension in the same way as TIMESUM function. Why it is necessary? For IRR calculation when the sign of the cash flows changes more than once, for example when positive cash flows are followed by…

Version formula to work on single Line Items
Allow the usage of a Version formula in the Blueprint view of a module to work on single line items, as compared to the current state of working with a LISS. The usage of a LISS makes it more difficult to maintain if i need only one calculation to abide a specific logic, and creating a LISS for one formula change and…

Prepare Sets of Dimensions and Subset Intersections of those Dimensions
As a model builder dealing with combination master data (Cost Center x Cost Element, Revenue Categories A x Revenue Categories B x Revenue Categories C), I want to be able create pre-defined sets of dimensions, the intersections of which I can subset, so that I can easily apply these sets to a module and save space by…

Additional modes for Formula Scope
Whilst the current method for formula scope encompasses the existing options (Actual, All Versions, All Versions Except Actual and Current), there is sometimes a need for formula scope to be applicable to specific versions outside of this scope - For instance, side loading of a budget. Whilst Add Version Formula covers…

Specify Resulting Value for COMPARE Function
It would be helpful if the COMPARE function could be modified to specify different resulting values. Currently, the formula returns 0 if there is a match and -1 or 1 if there is a match. Ideally you could specify any values, but returning 1 if there is a match and 0 if there is not a match would provide a useful…

Version on List
Currently, we cannot have versions on a list. It is a limitation that customers run into every day. Below is an example from Red Hat, Inc that demonstrates the challenge that this limitation creates and how having versions on a list could be a tremendous benefit! Account Hierarchy: L1 Geo L2 Group L3 Region L4 Sub-region…

Button to Add another / new dimension after creating the module
As a model builder it would be nice to have a button to add dimension to the module and also to the line item after one has created the module. At the moment we can add the dimension to the module through the applies to section of the blueprint. It would be nice to have a window of dimension screen that is shown when we…

Ignore boolean flagged items/periods when using the AVERAGE function
Description: As a model builder, I would like to be able to include an additional parameter in the AVERAGE function which is to be used to exclude flagged items or periods from being included in the calculation of average values. Use Case: There are numerous circumstances where I have been required to exclude certain items…

Dates in Timesum
Timesum formula currently works with time periods. When the granularity of the data is Days, the formula cannot return anything (although it does not generate an error). The idea here is to enable Timesum to also work with Dates so that we can apply this formula to more granular use cases.

Time Range < 1Y
Hello, would be great to have Time Ranges functionality linked to the Current Period & for less than 1Y, e.g. moving two-Q range linked to the current period of the model. This for sure will optimize AN models in terms of speed & workspace size. Best regards Kristina

Error message generator
Hello, could we have an optimized error message log solution during building process which notifies us of the error? The current blue text box is an absolute time killer during development which could last up to 5 minutes. Bet regards Kristina

Anaplan Model Calendar - Roll-up Weeks to Months
Anaplan's model calendar rolls up days into weeks and months into quarters but does not roll up weeks into months. As a result of this, June 2020 has 5 weeks: w/c Jun1, Jun 8, Jun 15, Jun 22 and Jun 29. However, w/c Jun 29 has 2 days in June and 5 days in July - and the entire week gets included in July instead of June.…

Curated tips section on Anapedia
I think it could be a good idea to have a curated tips section at the bottom of each Anapedia page. These will be things people have found work but are not specifically stated as working in the entry in Anapedia. These could then help for the basis for Updates to the entry in the future. These could be based on entries…

Ability to Define Custom Weeks pattern for Each Quarter differently in Model Time
Currently Anaplan allows only to select one Week Pattern from 3 available to apply across all quarters in a Fiscal Year Time Calendar (https://help.anaplan.com/anapedia/Content/Modeling/Dimensions/Weeks_4-4-5,_4-5-4_or_5-4-4.htm) Example - Pick any one week configuration pattern from 4-4-5, 5-4-4, or 4-5-4 for all…

Display Name selection from the drop down - only filtering text and list formatted properties
Is it possible to provide a Display Name selection in the form of a drop-down for a Numbered list in the configure tab of a list? This addition would actually complete the configure tab in totality.

Have DCA drive when items are included in SUM formula
During our Territory Assignment exercise, the type of account dictates whether a particular rep type can be assigned to the account. We facilitate this via DCA. However, because the account types are sometimes in flux during the assignment process, a rep could be assigned to an account that they would later be ineligible…

Breakback for line items with Boolean format
As a model developer, I want to have option to set Breakback for Boolean input line items. This would be great especially for filters, using multi-level filters based on one Boolean line item can become easier. It should work if summary is set as "Any" or "All", and Breakback is ON for the line item, then clicking on…

Ranges/allowable values for number input
It would be handy to restrict a number format. This will save additional validation checks/visualizations. e.g: - Number needs to be positive - Number should be an integer -The number should be within the range of 0-10 This is like a dependent drop-down list, however now restricting the number formatted input.
