We should all also share which hosts of GBBS are our favorites.
Personally... I truly miss Mel and Sue. [Sandy was okay but I like her better on QI].Also - in the event that anyone is of the opinion that "Carrot cake is a cake flavor that only old people could enjoy" [an opinion which I may or may not have previously held], I HIGHLY recommend making this version: Carrot Cake with Brown Butter Frosting -- I made it a few months ago for my future-in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary and my fiancé very nearly had to carry me away from the table because I wanted to eat the whole thing 😝

Carrot cake was always the go to birthday cake for my sister and I. Cream cheese icing, though. Now I love it, but can't eat it because it's so rich.
Side note - what was the spam thing we talked about in week 1. I was trying to remember, but all I can think of is that several of you had had it and liked it but it sounded terrifying...0 -
LOL! "Spam Musubi"

It's SO good! You have the fluffy rice base and then there's the delicious, kinda sweet sauce, and then the savory/salty spam. Can't go wrong!

That's right! I may have to try it, since you seem SO confident. But... it does not sound like something I'd intentionally eat! lol
