Adding background color to the columns

Hi

Is there any way we can add background color to select few columns in a Module/Dashboard?

We want to highlight the data in certain columns to the users.

Thanks

  • Hi Prabakaran,

Yes, you can use conditional formatting to highlight columns

  • Hi @anirudh

Thanks for the response. Conditional formatting will not help here, since irrespective of the values in the column ,I want to highlight all the data in a column in one color.

Please let me know if there is any workaround to achieve this.

  • Hey @praba71 ,

As mentioned by  @anirudh,  you can achieve it by conditional formatting. Simply create a numeric line item with value 1 and add conditional formatting to the line item you wish to highlight by setting the  2 color conditional formatting.

  • Hi,

You can do this by hardcoding the value based on which conditional formatting is done
    Here's an example

The Data line item is highlighted the same, irrespective of the values

Here's the setting for conditional formatting

The CF line item just has the formula "2" applied

Let me know if this works for you

  • thanks @anirudh @Jitendra.Vishnolia  for the response.. It worked.

Now,is it possible to hide the line item which holds the constant value for conditional formatting, from the user view?

Is there any workaround available, apart

  • Hi Praba,

    Definitely!
Just right click the conditional formatting line item and click Hide to hide it
