Re: Section 6 - Region Goal Set (Too many words with allocation)

Hi Charis,

You need to have multiple line items to help identify the steps in the process.

To be allocated - This line item is taking the Projected Goal and then subtracting the Take Out amount to calculate the value of what is to be allocated.

Allocate?  - This line item is used to help identify if this region is to be allocated.  In order to decide this it takes into account if there was previously a Hold (boolean) or Override (boolean) selected.  If neither are it idenfities that this region should be allocated.

Allocation Child - This line item is looking to see if the region is to be allocated based off the line item above, then use the Projected Goal else 0.

Allocation - This is the final line item that brings it all together.  It looks if it meet the condition of the Allocate? line item and then performs the allocation calculation else 0.

The reason for the multiple line items is because you are checking multiple conditions before performing a calculation.
