Just finished my Anaplan training and starting the FP&A case study.
I am drafting the model schema and would like to do it electronically. Any best practice for which platform to use to document the "model schema"?
I was going to use excel...
I document my schemas as simple flowcharts & avoid crowding them very much (for example, I don't indicate the dimensions in the schema, just the subject & key objectives)
Details are placed in supporting materials (like a bulleted list)
I use an online flowcharting tool, there are many tools out there. PPT works well also
You probably already found something but there are lots of choices:
I've used excel and visio historically but prefer the newer online tools like Gliffy and Lucid Charts.
