Case Study 299 HR planning costs

So for the HR Planning Costs dashboard there is a module where you can input social security, pay raise % and pay raise date and that module affects the details of each employee module.  Is there a way where the social security, pay raise % and pay raise date module does not affect every employee, whereas I can choose which person I want that module to affect?  I was thinking of creating a separate module and create a boolean where the end user can pick and choose which person they want to see but don't know if that is the best way to go about it.  Any ideas would be helpful!
