It depends on so many factors. See if this helps

Anaplan Connect: Native Anaplan functionality. All you have to do is set it up on client server and write batch/shell scripts. This is free of cost and comes handy when your client doesn't want to procure third party integration tools. However it has certain limitations, you cannot do ETL activities, it can not schedule Jobs and it facilitates file based transfers

Third Party Integration tools: Like Mulesoft, Snaplogic, Dell Boomi, Informatica, Hyperconnect etc. These are quite easy to use & deploy and have tons of functionalities within it. Drawback is the cost of these licenses which is in addition to what you are paying for Anaplan licenses.

REST APIs: Anaplan allows you to leverage REST APIs (Both Bulk and Transactional) to integrate Anaplan with other systems. It is free but the drawback with it is that it is highly complex and need resources with coding skills (Java, .Net etc)

Bottom-line is that you have to weigh these options and see which is the best way forward for your client.

    Hope that helps

It really depends on what the client has the most experience in.  Of the 3rd party iPaaS vendors, they pretty much do the same thing, just a bit differently.  As @Misbah, using the REST API's is a very complex and 100% custom code, so if the client does not have experience in this, I would pass on this route.  If the client has no experience with integrations, I would probably steer them towards Anaplan Connect as it is the most basic and cheapest.
