The mapping seems correct. Kindly check the Department codes in the Department List, it might be missing. Also verify if the Department List is set as a parent of the Employees List.

Follow the snip below for setting up the Department list as a parent of Employee list.

It seems like you have missed some steps to create the Departments List members. It's Ok you can create it manually, looking at the snip I have shared.

So in here you were trying to import the Employees(child) data under departments(parent). Initially while importing the file you had defined the employees list to go and sit under the respective department. But the departments list members were absent, so Anaplan did not find the correct parent under which it should load the Employee data, that is why it threw the error. After when you created the department list members Anaplan was able to locate the correct parent, so the data got loaded with ease.

I believe there would an import that needs to be done for creating the departments list. In the above case the departments were very few, that is why i advised you to create manually. Suppose the data would have hundreds of entries, it would be difficult as well as error prone, to manually type in the data. So in that case an import from csv would be the best option.

In the end its you who has to decide how to feed the data into the model seamlessly and keeping it error free.

I hope i have answered your question.

how to set the department list as parent of employees liat

  • Ok now I got it sir, it's already done, I think that's not the reason here

  • 16333529530492179627571491131247.jpg

     It is like this sir

  • @amruthasai7979

Yes that is the reason why you are unable to load the data. The parent hierarchy is completely missing. Kindly create the Department hierarchy list members with the given code. Then run the import in the Employees list. You will get the data loaded correctly.
