Manual Filter for a Hierarchy

Anaplanners,

Had a table that displayed different layers of the hierarchy. 

Layer 4 rolling up to layer 3, layer 3 rolling up to layer 2 and so on. 

If i as a user select layer 4 then only layer 4 needs to be displayed in the table. 

I know there is a native anaplan functionality where we can select the hierarchy but we wanted it to be manual since it would be easier for the end user who isn't well versed with anaplan.
