Hi,
We have some modules where with multiple dimensions, for instance: Time, Version, Line Items.
When pivoting for some analysis and adjustment, we would like to have Time and Version as Columns and Line Items as rows. However, when doing that, we are unable to select specific items for the columns, for instance, 2 or 3 years for time and 2 specific Versions.
Is there a workaround that could enable it? With our previous EPM system, we could select specific items for each dimension.
Thanks,
Victor

HI Victor,
You can do select which items to show in your pivoted view. Please check my below screenshot that would be helpful.
Pivoted as you mentioned
Lets say I want to see only FY18 & FY 20. So select those years and show.
And I want to see Actual and Forecast, select and show it as every occurrence.
This would be my final result,
Hope this clarifies your doubt. Let me know if you have any questions.

Kavin.

Whilst you can you the hide/show/select items to show, a more sustainable and flexible solution is to use a filter module:
1. Create a module using Time and Versions with a single boolean item
2. Then in the data module point to that module
If you need to be specific about line items, then the nested view above cannot work as Anaplan cannot display the "gaps". But if you wanted specific line items for a version, or for time then you can use a line item subset and a module by time and/or versions using a similar technique as above.
There are more details of that here:
I hope that helps
David
Hi David,
This solution solves our problem, as we need it for specific reports. We are implementing for some of our modules.
Thanks!
