I want to apply the best practice of ensuring consistency in the order of dimensions, as described in following article: https://community.anaplan.com/t5/Best-Practices/Dimension-Order/ta-p/32934.
However, when I apply the steps to change the order, nothing happens.

Try manually typing them into the applies to.
It's not very intuitive but it will work that way.
As @Jared Dolich mentioned, you need to type manually in the applies to.
If you'll select the dimensions from the applies to pop-up, it will always show selected dimensions (specifically lists) in the chronological order of lists created in Anaplan.
