hi anaplaner,
i have problem about impor/upload file, when iam upload file number format, data in anaplan and excel file always different, ex: excel file 497.157.884.509 but in anaplan 497.157.000.000.
how to fixing that problem?, and why is that?
Thanks,
Panji
Solved! Go to Solution.
Anaplan is very particular about the Excel formatting, especially with decimal places.
In your case, I'm guessing your Excel value is displaying in scientific notation. You will need to change that to normal notation.
Example,
In Excel I have two formats. Both have the same number but one is in Scientific Notation.
I import both of these values into Anaplan. See what happens?
The scientific notation is taken literally.
If you change you Excel format to show all the digits, you should be okay.
Hi @Panji
If your number uses 'dot' as thousand separator, you can do the following:
1. Assuming this is the data file, note that the thousand separator is 'dot'
2. Blueprint format of receiving Anaplan module. Note the change to 'Thousand Separator'
3. In your import action definition, change the 'Decimal Separator' to 'Comma'.
4. Below is the end result in the receiving module.
