3 Easy Ways to Update Your Community Profile

Community Manager

Keeping your Anaplan Community profile up to date is a great way for other Community members to learn more about you and your experiences with Anaplan and beyond. It’s also the perfect way for others to familiarize themselves with your content on the Community, including blogs and articles you’ve posted, discussions you’ve been involved in, and badges you’ve earned.

To help you accomplish this, here are three easy ways to make sure your Community profile is up to date:

1. Update Your Profile Picture

Nothing humanizes your profile more than adding a nice headshot. Follow these simple steps to update your profile picture:

  1. Navigate to your profile in the top-right corner of the Community and select My profile.
  2. On your profile page, select the Edit icon (the small pencil) next to your current image.ScreenShot1.pngEdit icon in profile section
  3. Using the pop-up box, upload an image of yourself from your computer, your Community account, or another website. (While your photo does not need to be a professional headshot, we recommend making it an image of yourself—especially if you will be contributing content to the Community. Either way, please ensure it is suitable for public use.)
  4. Follow the instructions to crop or resize your image as needed before saving. This needs to be done for both your standard image as well as the smaller thumbnail version.

2. Update Your Biography

Like your favorite social media channels, updating your biography provides a quick description of who you are to your fellow Community members. Let us know a bit more about yourself by following the steps below:

  1. Navigate to your profile in the top-right corner of the Community and select My settings.
  2. On the PERSONAL tab, select Personal Information.
  3. Complete the Biography field, and then select Save.
  4. Your biography is published to your public Community profile.

3. Verify Your Account

In order to participate in discussions and provide feedback throughout the entire Community, your account must be verified! To check your verification status and verify your account (if necessary), follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your profile in the top-right corner of the Community and select My settings.
  2. On the PERSONAL tab, select Email.
  3. If your account is not verified, select the Send me the confirmation email again button. An email will be sent to the address listed in your account, allowing you to verify your account.

  4. Once your account has been verified, you will see the status of “Verified” in the Email verification status.

That’s it! Once you have taken these three steps, your Community profile will be up to date!
