What's New?

  • Excel Add-in 4.2 is targeted to launch at the end of March. We’re pleased to announce that you will be able to insert more than one million cells in your worksheet as requested in this idea and this idea. As with previous versions, we’ll do a phased release so members of the feedback group will be given access first before the add-in becomes available to all customers in April. More details about Excel Add-in versions.
  • Anapedia is now easier to navigate thanks to an updated menu for Excel Add-in: find what you're looking for with the search bar or use the left-hand side menu which is now organised by activity (install and set up, refresh...) and clearer names.
  • New information pages have been added based on your feedback: do you wonder which functionalities are available in the Excel Add-in compared to the Google Sheets Add-on? Look at our comparison page. Check out the Extensions section of Community for other new pages.
  • To compare the different versions of the Excel and PowerPoint Add-ins, features tables are available in the "previous versions" section of this page. The tables were formerly located in Anapedia and have now been moved to the version information pages to you a better view of what's new in each version.

  • When user A creates a connection in a Google Sheets spreadsheet, they are the connection owner and are the only one who can then refresh it. You may vote for this idea, or follow those steps if user B wants to refresh the spreadsheet:
    1. user B right-clicks the desired sheet.
    2. B copies the desired sheet to New Spreadsheet or selects an existing one (that they own).
Note that copying the entire workbook doesn't change the connection owner.

What's this bulletin?
It's a monthly update about the extensions, directly coming from the development team. Watch out for the next one at the end of each month.

How does it differ from the monthly release post?

Contrary to the release information which covers all the Anaplan products, we focus on the extensions.

Why should I care? How does it impact me?

If you are one of our 1,000+ users of the products, then you might want to read our bulletins as well to be on top of everything that's going on. If you are a Master Anaplanner or on the path to become one, you should definitely be interested in learning this information too.

Do you like this bulletin? Would you like to suggest ideas?
