The Extensions Bulletin | May 2020

|
What's New?
- Read the interview with @Alessio_Pagliano, a Master Anaplanner who just started using the Excel add-in. In just a few weeks he's already convinced his management team to adopt it with a POC that demonstrates the benefits in terms of data reconciliation, specific visualizations, templates, and presentation packs! "It’s so easy to use that you can practically create everything you need without any training."
- We added two new pages to help you find information about the different versions of the Excel and PowerPoint add-ins. It's now much easier to find out what's in each release and the relevant documentation.
- We want your opinion! Join our dedicated feedback group and tell us what you think of our new one-stop shop and monthly bulletins!

End-User Tips and Tricks
- The "Send and refresh" functionality of the Excel add-in has moved between 3.3 and 3.4.
- In 3.3, it was available from the toolbar, next to the page selector as well as from the ribbon.
- In 3.4, the button has been removed from the toolbar and the button in the ribbon has been renamed to "Show changes". This is because we have added a new functionality. Clicking on "Show changes" means you can see the edits you have made to your data before sending it to Anaplan. If you made any errors, such as entering an invalid value, you will be alerted in the activity panel on the right-hand side.

It's a monthly update about the extensions, directly coming from the development team. Watch out for the next one at the end of each month.
How does it differ from the monthly release post?
Contrary to the release information which covers all the Anaplan products, we focus on the extensions.
Why should I care? How does it impact me?
If you are one of our 1,000+ users of the products, then you might want to read our bulletins as well to be on top of everything that's going on. If you are a Master Anaplanner or on the path to become one, you should definitely be interested in learning this information too.
