Ability to select/view data between specific dates in a module/dashboard

Description of the enhancement required: 

Calendar on dashboard in order to view data between two specific dates as defined by the user.

An example of the enhancement:
I want to review the data on a dashboard corresponding to a "From Date" and a "To Date"

How would it help your business process:
For example, we have a model that has day as daily update and want to review the data during a selected time frame as we find suitable. This will help us plan better our daily activities
