Use Non-numeric Value to Drive Conditional Formatting

Ability to use a non-numeric value to drive conditional formatting.

Ex.  I have a text formatted line item where my values are Red or Green.  For my values to set the condition, I can have text = "red" or text = "green" rather than having to create an additional line item that that resolves to a numeric value for my conditional formatting.

  • Love this idea, specifically for True and False values.  Having to convert efficient Boolean values into numbers for conditional formatting is not great

  • It is always good to have the conditional formatting improved. Number only formatting can be sometimes not intuitive.

  • I would love to see this. As others have said, creating a line item of IF bool THEN 1 ELSE 0 feels inefficient, when it would fit so nicely to a two color scale.

  • We must do this
