Access driver error when attempting ALM sync

This item has been identified as a known issue, please contact Support at support@anaplan.com if you encounter this.

A workaround is provided until the issue is officially fixed.

Error received when attempting an ALM sync:

An internal error occurred while preparing the
structural changes for synchronization.
Reason for error: To serve as an access driver,
a line item must be formatted as a Boolean.

The error is thrown if the following changes are made in the same sync:

  • Create two line items, one of which will be used as a DCA driver
  • Set the DCA driver line item to Boolean format and add any formula
  • Set the read/write access of the other line item created to be the DCA driver line item

For the DCA driver line item, please follow these steps:

  1. Remove the formula
  2. Create a revision tag and sync
  3. Re-add the formula
  4. Create a revision tag and sync

Re: Access driver error when attempting ALM sync

This issue still exists. Anaplan will create an "empty" model then produce an error.

You need to either remove formulas from the line items that are going to be used as DCA Read or Write drivers or clear READ and WRITE access drivers in module blueprint, this lets you create a model from a revision tag. Once you've created the model from the revision tag you can re-add the necessary formulas for the DCA driver line items or re select driver in blueprint, add a new revision tag and then sync the model successfully.
