Excel Add-In v2.6/v3.0 and Powerpoint Add-In v1.4 login via SSO fails after December 7th release

This item has been officially fixed.

 

Excel Issue

When logging into Excel Add-In 2.6 or Excel Add-In 3.0 via SSO, it will fail with the following error:

Workarounds

1) Migrate to Excel Add-In 3.3 (preferred)

  • Please note there may be some migration work required if you are currently on version 2.6.
  • Please note that if you are currently on version 3.0 and have linked formulae to other workbooks, you may experience row shifting.

Or,

2) Use basic authentication. Have a Workspace Administrator mark you as an exception user in the Users tab of an Anaplan model. Note that exception Users should only be used for emergency or support situations and therefore the number of exception users should ideally be kept to a minimum. Please consult your IT department to find out if this is a suitable approach. Further details can be found in the following link: Link 

 

Powerpoint Issue

When logging into Powerpoint Add-in 1.4 via SSO, it will fail with the following error:

1) Migrate to Powerpoint Add-In 1.5 (preferred)

Or,

2) Use basic authentication.
