This item has been identified as an outstanding known issue as of the Anaplan Excel Add-in 3.0 release on the 30th of August 2018; a workaround is provided. This is not an issue for Anaplan Excel Add-in 3.1.
Issue |
When installing or uninstalling the Anaplan Excel Add-in version 3.0 can in some circumstances ask you to install Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable x86 even though it is already installed. |
Workaround |
Please check with your IT department which solution is preferred. There are two potential solutions to this issue.
Solution 1 To work around this issue, please make a note of the version number of the C++ 2013 Redistributable (x86) you have installed. This can be found in "Add or Remove Programs" in system settings. If it is 12.0.40660.0, uninstall it and install version 12.0.30501.0 provided by Microsoft from the following URL: https://www.microsoft.com/en-GB/download/details.aspx?id=40784
If you have 12.0.40660.0 and 12.0.30501.0 installed, uninstall 12.0.40660.0.
You should now be able to install/uninstall the Anaplan Excel Add-in version 3.0.
IMPORTANT: It is recommended that you reinstall version 12.0.40660.0 after following the above steps as other software may be reliant on this. This is provided by Microsoft and can be found at the following URL: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/3179560/update-for-visual-c-2013-and-visual-c-redistributab...
If you see this issue and do not have version 12.0.40660.0 of C++ 2013 Redistributable (x86) installed, please contact support@anaplan.com
Solution 2
Next Download the Microsoft Install and Uninstall troubleshooter tool from : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-instal...
Finally Using the location of the add-in we noted in the first steps, navigate to that location. Remove any files that are remaining in the Anaplan Excel Add-in folder (see below).
If you are still unable to install/uninstall Version 3.0 of the Anaplan Excel Add-in, please contact support@anaplan.com. |
