Known Issues and Workarounds: 2017 Archive

The following items have been identified as outstanding known issues and workarounds.

Issue
Workaround

If your model includes a formula that refers to a line item that has been removed from a line item subset, an error occurs when you attempt to use the Revert to Last Revision feature.

There is no known workaround at this time. Please subscribe to the Platform Releases blog to receive notifications of new platform releases.

It's not possible to sync the following sequence of changes:

  1. Create a line item subset, LIS1, containing line items from module A.
  2. In module B, in Blueprint view, set the dimensionality of at least one line item to LIS1.
  3. Edit LIS1 to include a line item from module A.
  4. Change the default dimension of module B to a hierarchical list—for example, the Organization list.
Sync changes one at a time.

It's not possible to sync the following sequence of changes:

  1. Create a line item subset, LIS1, that references module A.
  2. In module A, format line item 1 as LIS1 (in Blueprint view, click Format > List and then select LIS1).
  3. Change the format of line item 1 to Number.
  4. Change the default dimension of module A to LIS1.
  5. Add line item 1 to LIS1.
Sync changes one at a time.

In a numbered list with display names preserved, if you:

  1. Add or change the Top Level Item.
  2. Add or change the Display Name Property (in General Lists).
  3. Synchronize to a compatible target model.

The change to Display Name Property isn't synced to the target model as expected. (The Top Level Item does sync as expected.)

Sync the change to the Display Name Property separately.

If you modify both the Top Level Item and the Parent Hierarchy of a list, the change to Parent Hierarchy isn't synchronized to the target model as expected.

Sync the change to the Parent Hierarchy separately.

If you remove a list or line item subset from a module's default dimensions, and then delete the list or line item subset, the next sync will fail.

Sync changes one at a time.

It's not possible to sync the following sequence of changes:

  1. Convert a list to a numbered list.
  2. Add a Top Level Item.
  3. Add a new item to the numbered list.
Sync changes one at a time.
It's not possible to sync the following sequence of changes:
  1. Convert a list to a numbered list.
  2. Assign the list a Parent Hierarchy.
  3. Add a new item (item 1) to the parent list you assigned in step two.
  4. Add a child item to item 1.
Sync changes one at a time.
If a model has been used as the source for a cross-workspace import, Settings > Source Models incorrectly refers to the workspace of the target not the source model. In Model Settings, check Actions > Import Data Sources to determine the workspace in which the source model resides.
An unfriendly error is displayed if you attempt to run a "Delete from list using Selection" action in a model in deployed mode. The model's structural data remains unchanged. There is no known workaround at this time. Please subscribe to the Platform Releases blog to receive notifications of new platform releases.
Creating a model from a revision tag fails in very large models that take over 5 minutes to open. You can copy the model instead. Remember to delete cell values and the contents of production lists in the copied model.

It's not possible to sync the following sequence of changes:

  1. Remove a line item from a line item subset that's configured to include new line items.
  2. In the parent module, in Blueprint view, change the format of the line item you removed in step one.
Sync changes one at a time.

If you take a model offline, end users are not redirected to Tiles if they attempt to change pages on a dashboard.

There is no known workaround at this time. Please subscribe to the Platform Releases blog to receive notifications of new platform releases.

If a module has a subset as a dimension, and a line item with a line item formula and a parent, an error is displayed when you:

  1. Change the module's dimensions.
  2. Change the line item formula.
  3. Add a revision tag.
  4. Try to sync to a compatible target model.
  1. In the source model, in Blueprint, deselect the Is Summary checkbox for the line item.
  2. Synchronize.
  3. Select the Is Summary checkbox again.
  4. Synchronize again.

In the launchpad, password reset accepts '£' pound key with other special characters

Previously, when creating or resetting your Anaplan password, the pound character (£) was accepted as valid when used with the following special characters '!', '@', or '$'. However, when attempting to log in, the password authentication failed.

The pound character (£) should not be used with other special characters when creating or resetting passwords.

These known issues from 2017 have all been fixed as of the beginning of 2018. Listed workarounds are no longer necessary.
