Null Pointer error message when you modify and rename export action very quickly

This item has been identified as an outstanding known issue. A workaround is provided until the issue is officially fixed.

When you take following operations very quickly, you will be presented with error message.

1. Make change to export A
2. Rename export B
3. Make change to export B

When you look at the model history, you will see Name Changed and Add Export in one serial.

In this situation, following subsequent errors can occur:

  • You will be welcomed by the same error everytime you access Model Settings > Actions when the offending action gets loaded in browser. This will prevent you from further interacting with actions

  • When offending action exists, you are not able to Edit any process

  • This error is also apparent when you try to access through API

Workaround <If Applicable>

This issue can be worked around by either below methods:

  • If you are able to open Model Settings > Actions, delete the offending action.
To do this, you will need to select any export action without letting offending action appear in screen, then hit Delete. Keep the selected export (move from rhs to lhs) and delete the offending action by moving it from lhs to rhs and click “OK”

  • Restore to serial before the error.
