Re: Designating Sales Reps to Accounts Process Questions

Hi Unicorn company:

Could I get some clarification on the Quota Assumptions import:

When I updated the Role list from the data hub I got the following roles:

Staff Member

Director

Executive

Senior manager

manager

Team Leader

Senior Director

But when I should import data from the quota assumptions csv file (and the earlier text file) I get the following roles

Sales Principal

Sales Senior

Sales Junior

Feels like I have missed something

Hi @bbolton,

it seems that your import from Data Hub is not correct.

Note that there are two line items in Employee Details module in Data Hub, Role and Sales Role. In level 3 model, we are focusing on Sales Planning.

Hope this helps!

Re: Designating Sales Reps to Accounts Process Questions

@ChrisMullen and Charlie Paws,

I'm at the end of the development cycle and I am now doing some unit testing before our UAT next week. Everything checks out but I noticed in my Finance report shows some sales reps are estimated to have zero commission.

The reason this is happening is because of the tenure calculation.

As part of the tenure calculation what constitutes the first year, or <1 year?

  • Is it 1/1/2020 to 12/31/2020?
  • Or, is it 1/1/2019 to 12/31/2019?

This will obviously affect the calculations greatly. Thanks for giving this some thought. Looking forward to your answer.

Re: Designating Sales Reps to Accounts Process Questions

@ChrisMullen and Charlie Paws,

Something else that was discovered during our unit testing.

CSOMs are able to assign sales reps that won't be starting for over a year (1/1/2021). Unfortunately, the data the CSOM's provided show that 3 sales reps that start after 1/1/2021 have been assigned accounts.

Process question:

  • Do you want me to add a filter to the account assignment dropdown that only shows sales reps that are available before the year ends, i.e., before 12/31/2020?
  • Or, is it okay to allow the CSOMs to assign these sales reps? Perhaps these are being used as placeholders?

Thanks again for your help on this.

Keep them at place holders for this release.  We can built out a more complex process later on to account for those later on.

Re: Designating Sales Reps to Accounts Process Questions

Hi Jared,

The current period date is 1/1/2020 so we are calculating off of that.  So if someone started  1/1/2019 they would be at 1 year anyone after that would be considered less than 1 year.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

What does attainment percentage mean in designating sales reps to accounts? Attached a screenshot for the section.

Thank you,

How much of their goal we anticipate a sales rep will achieve.  You'll see for our more experienced reps, we anticipate they will hit a higher percentage of their goal.

Re: Designating Sales Reps to Accounts Process Questions

What is the usage of QUO04,05 & 06?

"Level of Service" & "Tenure" under SYS07 needs to be manually updated or will it get updated automatically from QUO04, 05, & 06?

Thanks
