My Pages - Coming soon

 

We had this feedback from customers:

   "You would have high adoption if people could build their own dashboards and graphs - they can't do anything but click around and do simple stuff."

 

So we are adding My Pages to the New User Experience. This will enable any user of Anaplan to create their own pages, based on data they have access to.

Today's release brings some awesome new features that makes building and planning even more exciting in the New UX.

Quick Sum Bar

  • You can now quickly calculate a number of summary values based on the cells you have selected in your grids
  • The quick-sum bar is available on both worksheets and boards and provides:
    • Count: the number of cells in your grid selection
    • Min: the lowest value in your selection
    • Max: the largest value in your selection
    • Average: the average value of all of the cells in your selection
    • Sum: the total of all of the cells in your selection
  • The quick-sum bar also includes clear warnings if your selection cannot be used to calculate values or if your selection contains too much data to be calculated

Three cells are selected in a grid card titled Regional Sales Targets on a board. Summary values for this selection are displayed in the bottom-right corner of the board.

Cross-Module Filtering in View Designer

  • Page Builders can quickly and easily use data in other modules when creating filters in your custom views
  • These filters unlock the power of filter modules and user filters

A worksheet with a grid card in the Additional insights panel titled Product filter. This contains several checkboxes allowing you to filter the data displayed on the worksheet.

Cell History

Cell history functionality is now available on all worksheets.

  • Just make a selection in your primary grid and use the Cell history icon in the grid toolbar to display changes over:
    • The last 24 hours
    • The last 7 days
    • The last 30 days
    • All time
  • You can also view cell change history over custom time ranges.
  • Currently, this feature shows only the last 1,000 changes made.

KPI Card Number Scaling

  • Page builders can now further tailor their KPI cards to show users the right level of detail when displaying numbers.
  • Three new numbering options have been added to the KPI card designer:
    • With no number scaling — 1,830,012
    • Scaled to thousands — 1,830K
    • Scaled to millions — 1.8M

Hi All.

We’ve been listening to your feedback, and have worked with our User Experience (UX) team to enhance how editable and read-only cells display on worksheet pages.

We’ll remove the purple background from editable cells, using only purple text to indicate that they’re editable — similar to how Classic Anaplan uses blue text. Cells that are read-only, typically as the result of a calculation, will display with dark grey text and a faded grey background.

We’re hoping to release these changes at the start of next week, and will post again on Community when the update is live.

WHAT'S NEW!

The latest update to the new UX allows you to add a Chart to the main section of a worksheet as well as make it easier to create a range of charts. It also gives you the ability to hide card selectors for cards that you don’t want end users to change.

Adding a Chart to a worksheet

You can now maximise a chart or any card within the insights panel to the main worksheet. This gives you a clearer maximised view of your charts, so you can see the impact of updates you make.image2019-3-7_16-18-13.png

Chart Improvements

New options are available when creating a chart card. These allow you to quickly create a column, line, area or dot chart using all of your data series.

Charts within a combination chart are now reordered to increase visibility — area charts are displayed at the back with column, line and dot charts overlaid in front.

Card Designer Improvements

Hide or disable a card selector that is not synchronized with a page. The new options available for card selectors are:

  • off, which removes the selector from the card entirely.
  • label, which displays the name of the dimension that is displayed on the card.
  • selector, which leaves the selector on the card, meaning that end users can select and view other dimensions on the card.

Other Updates

Assign a category to a page upon creation.

View and access a page’s source model through the page options menu while in design mode.

The column width of grids specified in a source model is now retained in the new UX.

We pushed out an update today to ship some new enhancements and fix some of the bugs that have been raised.

 

Whats new:

  1. Can now connect to a Model that is in a "Deployed" state
  2. New refresh icon next to the Page name on Boards and Worksheets
  3. Clicking the refresh icon will now pick up structural changes made to underlying saved module views, previously it just refreshed the data but didn't pull any changes made to the structure or settings of a module view
  4. You will now get visible feedback when you click "Publish" to save changes to Pages, Worksheets, Boards and Cards
  5. We now only enable the Publish button on Boards & Worksheets when a valid change has happened
  6. Worksheet designer - Will now scroll to show the new card when adding a card to the insight panel
  7. Clicking 'Next' on Card Designer before the view has loaded was causing an error
  8. Can now delete cards that are linked to a deleted module view, previously you weren't able to remove them
  9. IE11 fix - Create an app modal - Redundant Scrollbar in Description Field
  10. Setting a favourite was also setting the last accessed time and pages were showing in "Recents" incorrectly
  11. IE11 fix - All apps page - Multiple delete ellipsis buttons were visible
