Great idea! Right now looking at long, nested formulas is close to impossible, especially when you are trying to analyze code and familiarize yourself with a model. Such an implementation would make debugging a lot easier.
Also, every single editor has some sort of mistakes highlighting. Even single semicolon missing in code is highlighted. We could use some help especially with brackets. Moreover, 'formula is invalid' doesn't give us any information, as we already know it because of error.
For now if you need to identify such errors copy your formula in notepad++.
Yes this would be very usefule feauture
When making a mistake in a formula it would be great to have the mistake pointed out. Perfectly, it would also be highlighted in another colour. For now, when e.g. one bracket is omitted by mistake, the only massage we get is that whole formula is invalid.
The issue is connected with another enhancement request - syntax formatting and highlighting. We often use long, complicated formulas and therefore locating the mistake when debugging is very time-consuming.
Having a readable formatting and the mistake indicated would be very helpful.
