What's in this release?

This patch release includes Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.0 disablement, Bring Your Own Key enhancements, and fixes for Business Map Early Access.

TLS 1.0 disablement

To ensure compatibility with the most recent and secure versions of TLS, we have updated our platform to be compatible with Java 8. TLS support prior to version 1.1 is now deprecated.

This means that:

  • Internal services on the Anaplan platform no longer support browsers that are not TLS 1.1 + compliant.
  • Any clients using our public APIs must be TLS 1.1 + compliant.
  • Clients that use Java must be upgraded to Java 8+.

What do you need to do?

  1. Ensure your users are connecting to Anaplan using a supported browser. We recommend using the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Apple Safari.
  2. To ensure continued functionality, integrations that connect to the API server will need to be updated to support the latest standards (Java 8, TLS 1.1+).
  3. If you're using Anaplan Connect, make sure that you upgrade Java to 8+.

Bring Your Own Key

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) gives customers the ability to assign their own encryption keys to encrypt their data on Anaplan. This release adds support for audit logging using the new Audit Service API. For more details, see the BYOK User Guide.

Business Map

Business Map is currently available via the Early Access Program. If you'd like to be involved in the Early Access program for Business Map, please contact your Account Executive.

This release includes fixes to the on-boarding and setup process for new Business Map users. Internal changes allow Anaplan Support to easily troubleshoot issues that may occur when building the map of your Anaplan environment.
