What's New: February 22, 2020

Super Contributor

We have successfully made platform enhancements on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. PST.

  • ALM enhancements: Improved robustness of ALM sync and introduction of restore point identifiers "Begin sync revision" and "End sync revision failed" to model History. These markers enable the identification of compatible restore points before or after an unsuccessful sync. With this enhancement, you’ll benefit from a more reliable ALM sync. In the event of an unsuccessful sync, you will able to more quickly and easily pinpoint the compatible restore point to trouble shoot.

  • Dynamic Cell Access (DCA) enhancements: For DCA enabled cells, data imports are enhanced to update only the cells based on the respective users' dynamic cell access. With this enhancement, you’ll gain a robust means to promote model changes from development into production, taking into account all model features that could be included in the development model. Specifically, import will no longer fail when you don’t have dynamic cell access to some of the cells you want to update. Any data matched to cells you have access to will update.

  • User Experience enhancements: New capability for model builders to open "line item subsets". An "Open button" is now available for "line item subsets", delivering functionality similar to open for "general lists". With this enhancement, you will be able to quickly and easily work with the line item subsets the same way you work with general lists. You’ll gain more visibility into granularity data by opening a line item subset from the Line Item Subsets inventory and management screen.

Coming soon: In early April 2020, new "Home" will become the default landing page for all users. This means that when a user logs into Anaplan, instead of landing on "Launchpad", as they do today, they will be greeted with the new "Home" page. To learn more about the new "Home" page and how it enables a seamless journey for a user across all of their Anaplan content, see this blog post.

Synchronization that changes the dimension of a driver for dynamic cell access fails when the list the line item applies to in the development model is different to that used in the production model.

When a list import is running as part of a process, and another model transaction is already running, the import is unsuccessful.

An exception occurs when you add a user to a model and this causes the workspace to become blocked.

00217807 When you perform a copy branch that causes RANK to exceed the 10,000,000 limit the model rolls back. No warning is provided, so the cause of the rollback is unclear.

The change log for a change is not generated correctly when cell history is opened with a time range that does not include the time the latest changes were made.

Synchronization fails for dynamic cell access line items when the dimensionality of the driver line items is changed, and the formula in the driven line item changed.
