I think it would be a good idea if the user list would only create space for the users who are in a group with access to the module.   In a scenario where a set of super users need to do their own variance analysis that involves lots of calculations, having all of the users who also don't have access to the module will lead to lots of extra space being created that will never be used.   I noticed that an idea had been raised to do a subset of the user list but this had been marked as not planned. ... I recently encountered an issue where I had performed the following steps in my development environment: Turned off automatically add new items in a line item subset. Added a new line item to the module where the line item subset is driven from. Set the new line item to have the data type of No Data. When migrating to a deployed test model, the system appeared to migrate these in the order 2,3,1 meaning that the sync failed as in between steps 3 and 1, it was trying to add a line item with the format of no data to a line item subset. Not sure if anyone else has experienced similar behaviour, there is obviously a work around but it was just tedious continually taking revision tags in the right order to get the desired outcome in the deployed model. ... I am seeing an issue with field cards not displaying the existing value from a dependent dropdown correctly per the below screenshot. This was taken on a board page in the new ux.     It appears to honour the dependency so the possible values are correct, just the existing value doesn't appear. If the dependent dropdown is removed from the underlying line item, the current value appears, and similarly, if a grid is used on the same dashboard, it works fine.   Any suggestions or is this an issue that will need to be fixed? ... I think it would help for adoption of using multiple source models on a single dashboard if the model selection was stored when moving from one page to the next if at all possible.   Currently it stays on the last selected dropdown for that individual dashboard but this means if an end user is testing changes, they have to remember and change the dropdown for each dashboard they look at, and then change it back when in production. The changing it back when in production is probably the bigger concern (at least it is for current client) so that test data isnt being reviewed instead of production data.   The current client feels it is safer to continue with two versions of the app for now. ... I think the new feature of being able to adjust the version settings in a deployed model is great.   I will apologise in advance if I have missed something, but think it would be a good idea if the current version checkbox can also be updated in a production model as this currently feels like a gap. I may want to remove some versions in a dev model that feeds that production model, but would currently need to ensure the current one always remains, and is added should it change. ... View more

Currently I can create a chart which has 3 items from one list (x) and 2 from another (y) on the rows. This will draw 6 lines on a line chart. The issue is that the series only displays the members from the list x so I do not know which member from y the graph represents. The member in x will appear twice. If I highlight the line on the chart, it also reflects the series so doesn't differentiate. It would be good if I could see member x and y combined so that they can be differentiated on the chart. ... View more

This post is a bit of getting ideas to work around but also see if people are experiencing similar issues.   I think it would be a good idea if Line Item Subsets could inherit the formatting and time settings from the source modules that they come from.   In the situation where you had a KPI which was a %, a number and a currency value, these could be split into 3 separate line item subsets and presented on the same dashboard. This will take up more space as the data will be coming from 3 separate modules. They will also need to be manually maintained for which lines go into each subset if a new line item is added to the source module.   Similarly for time settings, in a situation where a source module has a balance sheet movement that might have an opening balance, some movements which are summed over time, a closing balance and also an average balance. These would also need to be split into separate modules with similar problems as above.   This becomes a bit of an issue when trying to do version variances without using a native version formula. In a roundabout way, an idea of version subsets may also be a useful solution as the variances are only present in the modules where required and not in any input modules. ... View more
