I stepped away for a while and then came back and figured out the filtering set up. In case anyone else runs across this the UX Page should filter this section based on the country selection.

Hi All, I completed Level 3 Sprint 1 but I'm wondering if I completed all the functionality of the Account Review UX page. In the mockup of the Account Review UX Page the section in top right shows the Final Sales Target for each country by segment. It looks like this section is supposed to be filtered based on the selector for Segment and Country. I have the bottom section filtered this way but I cannot figure out how to apply a similar filter to Final Sales Target for each country by segment section. Can anyone confirm this is how the UX page is supposed to work? Thanks, James

@JessicaD - When I run my Update Current Period Process in my spoke model it takes a minute or two to run. The process is only doing two things (1) updating one line item in a system module from my Data Hub and (2) updating the Current Period. I'm guessing the process time is because of the update to Current Period in Time. Do you experiencing a similar process time?

@ankit_cheeni @JaredDolich Thank you so much for the replies on this topic. Right, now I'm thinking that option 3. Create a separate line item and use DCA to protect it is the best option for my use case. What I'm struggling with is where to draw the line on how much data to save each month. This is really two parts. (1) Which data to save and (2) How long to save data. My team would love to have everything. By that I mean take an entire copy of the model each month and save it off for reference so that at the end of the year we have an archived point in time for each month. This approach makes is super easy to drill down and research any issues. This is also the capability they had in the previous Excel ICM model. To solve the (1) Which data to save issue I'm thinking a good compromise would be to save year to date payout and attainment data each month so we could easily pinpoint the dollar amount of the difference. Payout data alone is tells us there is an issue and which measure is affected but it is really not enough data to find the source of the issue. Adding attainment data would at least tell us the credit amount delta and the affected measure(s). This solution would take more work to tie the dollar amount to the difference though. To solve (2) How long to save data I could really use some opinions here on what y'all think is best practice. I really want to be able to build a sustainable process where I can save off a rolling time period and avoid any manual processes. I'm thinking creating a rolling 12 month time period for to start would be a good option. Then I could review and reduce this time period as needed as time goes by. @ankit_cheeni I'm wondering what issues you ran into outside of the space issue. Could you expand on the downside of copying the entire model each month?

Hi All, I have a question for Anaplanners running ICM. My company uses Anaplan for calculating commissions. We run into the issue of needing to compare the current month to a prior month. Currently I copy the entire model at the end of the commission cycle each month and archive it as a backup so I have a point in time reference for each month. It is really handy to have the entire model to use as reference but it uses a ton of space. In order for the previous model to be useful for research it needs to have data down to the deal level so only storing monthly payout amounts is not enough. Does anyone else have this issue and if so how to you approach it? Thanks, James

@Ingilavicus , Thanks for the response. You're right, I was looking at the mapping backwards. I couldn't ever get the lookup to work and ended up thinking up a better approach than this module. Thanks for the help!

Hi All, I have a Lookup that I'm having a really hard time figuring out. I need to create a mapping line item but I am at a complete loss trying to figure out what that line item needs to be. Here are the details of what I'm trying to do: Target Module: Credit by Opportunity by Month Dimensioned by Time (Month) List: Opportunity - Flat List: SS - Employees Blueprint View Line item that needs a Lookup: Channel Growth ACV ProServ Total Credit This line item is supposed to take the value for the employee selected from (SS - Employees) from 'CRE07 Split Crediting Salesperson to Deal ProServ'.Channel Growth ACV ProServ Indiv Credit. Currently the line item 'Channel Growth ACV ProServ Total Credit' is returning the value for All Employees, the summary row, instead of the selected employee. Source Module CRE07 Split Crediting Salesperson to Deal ProServ Dimensioned by List: Salesperson to Deal (The parent for Salesperson to Deal is Opportunity - Flat) Time (Day) Blueprint View I thought I could use the line item 'Salesperson' from the source module for the Lookup since it's format is 'SS - Employees' but when I try to do this I get the error message: Dimension used for lookup doesn't match any dimension of the source. Here is the formula I tried: 'CRE07 Split Crediting Salesperson to Deal ProServ'.Channel Growth ACV ProServ[lookup:'CRE07 Split Crediting Salesperson to Deal ProServ'.Salesperson] Any help would be most appreciated. I can usually figure out mapping line items but I'm completely stuck with this one. Thanks, James

Thanks for the replies on this. The dashboard did have filters applied from another module. Thanks for the tip to check that. I checked and verified that both profiles had access to the modules used for filtering. I'm not sure what was going on with the export. I ended up creating a new export and it works for both profiles.

I have an action available on a dashboard that runs an export of a module that is displayed on the same dashboard. Currently when I run the action with Profile A the export file is populated as expected. When I I run action with Profile B the export file has only the line item headers and no data. I can't figure out what the access issue is because both profiles can view the data in the table on the dashboard and can view the data in the module. Also if Profile B runs an export from the table on the dashboard the export file is populated as expected. I've checked access to all the relevant Actions, Lists, and Modules. Can anyone help me understand what's going on with the export?
