Important Notes
- Maintain your Certified Master Anaplanner status and ensure you're up to date with Anaplan’s evolving platform improvements and best practices. Visit the Study Guide and Practice Exam for exam preparation resources and answers to frequently asked questions.
- All Certified Master Anaplanners must complete the technical requirement (recertification exam) by December 31, 2025. No exceptions will be made.
- While the technical requirement (recertification exam) will be good for two years, Certified Master Anaplanners are still expected to complete the activity requirements annually (deadline is December 15).
- Please take note that you will be taking the exam in Webassessor, which is outside of Academy.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How much is the exam fee?
- For this year (2025), the fee for the first attempt is waived. Subsequent attempts are priced at $100 USD plus applicable local taxes.
2. What should I expect in terms of the number of questions, time limit, and overall structure of the exam?
- The exam is timed and will take 60 minutes to complete.
- The exam is made up of 45 multiple choice questions that focus on the areas of modeling, data integration, and Center of Excellence principles. For more information, you may visit the Study Guide and Practice Exam section.
- The passing score is 75% or 34 out of 45 questions.
- IMPORTANT: Please plan for testing of the proctoring system at the beginning of the online exam. This may take up to 15 minutes.
3. What happens if I fail the exam?
- You can take the exam up to six times in two years. Every retake requires payment (the exam fee plus applicable local taxes). Please note that there is a two-week waiting period between each failed exam attempt.
- The questions on the exam are randomly generated from a bank of questions, so each time you take the exam you may have a different experience. Some of the questions might the same, but the exam retake will not be identical.
4. Is the exam taken online? Is there an option for an in-person exam taking?
- You may choose an online proctored test or take it in one of the testing centers near you once you register in Webassessor.
