How much is the recertification fee until December 31, 2026?
Learners from this group have one free attempt at the recertification exams in Webassessor until December 31, 2026. Subsequent attempts are priced at $100USD plus local taxes per attempt.
Note: For Partners, please use the code "Partner" for a 25% discount on the certification exams.
If my certification is valid until January 1, 2027, can I recertify early?
Yes, you can. You can take advantage of ONE free attempt until December 31, 2026. When you pass the recertification exam, your certification will be valid for 2 years from the exam date.
If I don’t pass the first attempt, how can I recertify?
You can take the recertification exam up to 6 times in 2 years. The first attempt is free. Subsequent attempts are priced at $100USD plus local taxes per attempt.
Are the exams open book?
Yes. Proctored exams will have hyperlinks to Anapedia, Community, and Planual on each question to ensure that you have Anaplan resources while you take the exam.
Are the exams proctored?
Yes, Webassessor exams are proctored. You may also choose to take the exam in a Kryterion Testing Center if you prefer an in-person testing.
What is the difference between the Associate and Professional Certification paths?
The Associate Certification Path is for Anaplan Employees and Customers who are usually part of model maintenance, but not heavily involved in architecture and model build. The Professional Certification path is for Anaplan Partners, Customers, and Employees who are looking to have a career in the Anaplan Ecosystem and are working towards attaining the highest level of certification (Certified Master Anaplanner).
If I cannot meet this year's certification renewal requirements for Master Anaplaner, should I take the recertification for Professional Solution Architect?

If I am unable to take the recertification exam within the period and my certification expires, will I need to start over from Level 1?
Your Model Builder Dashboard will show the list of courses that you need to take the become certified again. If you have previously taken Level 1 and Level 2 Model Building Training courses, The Anaplan Way and passed the required exams, you will be asked to begin your certification journey by taking the Professional Model Builder Certification Exam.
If I fail an attempt, how long do I need to wait before taking the exam again?
You will be able to register after 2 weeks from the initial attempt.
Does this mean that recertification will be required periodically from now on? For example, taking it every two years.
Yes, that is correct. Certification is valid for 2 years.
Do users who obtained their certification last year (before July 8, 2025) also need to take the recertification exam this year?
Those who are part of the exception group will have their certification valid until December 31, 2026. Learners from this group have the option to recertify early once the Japanese certification launches. Their certification will be valid for 2 years from the time of passing the exam.
Should I take the recertification exam this year even if my certification is good for 2 years?
Not necessarily; you have the option to recertify early, but as long as you are in your certification period and it is later than December 31, 2026, you can choose to recertify afterwards.
