Bio
I am a certified Anaplan model builder and a certified, single-subject, secondary English teacher with 7+ years of education experience . I'm currently looking to transition from a career in education to business modeling/analysis.
I earned my Masters in Education from UC Davis in spring 2020 with an emphasis on Socio Emotional Learning strategies to support student engagement in academic discussion and I earned my BFA in Animation & Creative Writing from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2011.
I'm currently in the process of transitioning into a career in data analytics. I recently earned my Anaplan model building certificate through the Anaplan Talent Builder program and I'm currently in the process of completing my Google Data Analytics certification on Coursera.
I have a passion for issues of socio-economic equality, racial justice, and environmental conservation. Whether I'm teaching or working in the private sector, I am motivated by my passion to make the world a better place. Before teaching high school English in California, I mostly lived in and taught English in Korea.
In my spare time, I enjoy painting, writing, hiking, traveling, diving, and learning about personal finance and investing.
