Re: OnePlan and Anaplan integration
I've never worked with OnePlan before but it seems as though the OnePlan integration is all native. Couldn't verify that they have an API. I'm also not seeing a native integration to Anaplan so if these are both true then you're going to have to use an intermediary data source like a data lake or data mart where OnePlan can drop off its data. From there it's easy to automate the integration into Anaplan. As for getting data back to OnePlan, I assume you'll have use the same strategy. The only downside to using a data lake is that it adds one extra step to the automation process and can be a bit concerning if you need real time access. The upside, however, is that the data is reusable and you don't have to rely on fancy exports from Anaplan which would presumably come from the data hub.
To be honest, this is a good topic for your customer's Anaplan business partner. They have access to everyone on the Anaplan team and can probably give you some good advice, and if you're lucky, point you to someone that's actually using OnePlan and Anaplan together.
OnePlan and Anaplan integration
Have anyone had experience integrating OnePlan (OnePlan Strategic Portfolio Management Software) with Anaplan? I haven't use OnePlan yet, but my client is evaluating it to do their portfolio and project management and there could be use cases in Anaplan that would require some information to flow between the two products.
I don't foresee a problem with integration, but wanted to check in case there is any experience with this specific combination.
Any help/comment would be appreciated.
Re: Using Auth2.0 authentication for Informatica Cloud
The Informatica Connector works only with device Grant. Detailed instructions on what you need to input in Informatica you can find on the link below. Could you sent screenshot on what you are inputing on the client setup?
Re: Conditional navigation - April 30 Platform Release
Hi, @kristenr .
You may refer to below steps. I just tested and worked.
- For the table of contents, create a list.
- In the list, create a list property which will be used for the action card later in a dashboard where you place the conditional navigation.
- Create a module where the list you created is your Applies To
- To mimic the table of contents presented during Partner Boost, just put the list in row format especially during dashboard creation.
- Add a line item in the module that will hold the URLs of images (just like in the Partner Boost) per list item .
- Convert the format of the line item to Text, then URL.
- Create an NUX app, then create a Page.
- Add three (3) Cards:
- 1 Grid Card for the module where the list and URLs are there.
- In the Grid Card, you just need to stretch the list items so that URLs will be hidden in plain sight (or just hide the URL column).
- 1 Image Card to reflect the image upon selection of list item through the Grid Card.
- Set the Image Source as Line Item, and choose the URL line item.
- 1 Action Card to place the conditional formatting.
- Upon editing the Action Card, navigate through the Action tab, select Navigation Link from the dropdown options. A popup window appears.
- Set the list you created and the list property.
- Upon editing the Action Card, navigate through the Action tab, select Navigation Link from the dropdown options. A popup window appears.
- 1 Grid Card for the module where the list and URLs are there.
- OPTIONAL : if you want just to have different Pages for every list item just to test (or if you have already dashboards you want to connect).
Hope this helps.
Simultaneous changes to Dashboard
Only a page builder per time can work in deck and dashboards (app). There is no real time synchronization as once an user publishes the changes, the other user changes are lost. Is there a plan for this on the roadmap?
Re: How can I make a YTD average?
@DeepakK Can be done but depends on what the basis of the average is. For example, you are looking for the YTD average of sales. I would have the following line items / formula
In Sales Transaction module
Line Item | Formula |
|---|---|
Sales Counter | 1 |
Sales Value | <This is data ingested> |
Period | <Calculated Week Time Period> |
In module where you are doing your YEARTODATE function
Line Item | Formula |
|---|---|
Sales Value | Sales Transaction.Sales Value[SUM:Sales Transaction.Period] |
Sales Counter | Sales Transaction.Sales Counter[SUM:Sales Transaction.Period] |
YTD Sales Value | YEARTODATE(Sales Value) |
YTD Sales Counter | YEARTODATE(Sales Counter) |
YTD Sales Average | YTD Sales Value / YTD Sales Counter |

Re: The three most useful applications of the data write action
Thank you @MikhilA for this great article to discover New UX functionality.
Having action to update current date is good but for data traceability purpose still need time stamp with granularity level like hour:min:sec. Hope this functionality can be added into model and added to Process so no need to manually click separate button for update date.
How I Built It: Flagging hierarchy list levels
Author: Timothy Peterson is a Certified Master Anaplanner and Senior Delivery Associate at Spaulding Ridge.
Greetings Anaplan Community!
Hello and thank you for checking out my ‘How I Built It’ tutorial. In this video, I will showcase how you can leverage ratio and formula summary methods to flag different hierarchy list levels.
I will demonstrate examples of how flagging hierarchy list levels can be used to improve the user experience on UX pages and provide a detailed walkthrough of how the examples are set up in the back-end model.
There are many uses for being able to identify and flag individual hierarchy levels. The three examples I will cover are:
- Applying conditional formatting to highlight specific levels of a hierarchy list.
- Easily applying alternate aggregation methods to the top level of a hierarchy list.
- Allowing users to quickly and easily show or hide different levels of a hierarchy list.
Check it out and let me know if you have questions!

Re: NEW UX: Insights and Quick Links on Board Views
This is something we absolutely want to add to Board pages in the UX. Unfortunately we don't have capacity to add in early 2024 due to other priorities but its something we would love to add in the second half of the year.
Glad to see there is so much interest in this addition.
