L2 Conculsion Exam Q6
Hi Community,
My DEM04 DEMAND EXPORT module has Cell Count of 776,882 cells. I can't get it lower.
Can you give me a steer on what I'm missing here please.
Thanks,
Chris,

Hey @ChrisG532
If you want to reduce the cell count of a module, you can think of using subsidiary views.
Refer these articles for more info: Subsidiary views - Anaplan Technical Documentation

Hello @ChrisG532 ,
This is likely due to the amount of line items you have included in the module and the dimensions of the same (P3 SKU, G3 Location). You should only have a line item for the Demand.
You can find further information about how this is calculated in the following link:
Although I quote: "Model size in Anaplan is based on the number of cells in the model and each cells takes up approximately 10 bytes of space. ."
Cheers!
Kind regards,

Hi Bruno
I think I've only pulled the Final Demand across - my formula is 'DEM03 Demand Forecast'.Final Forecast.
I did, however find removing the summary made a huge difference, taking the number down to 395,486 - still of by a significant 20-30,000 cells against the Exam Q6.
I've attached shots of both the lesson question and the DEM04 module.
Equally, I'm not clear - the question in the Exam refers to DEM04 Demand Export Module - not the same name as the lesson required to be set-up. So is this a separate module or a subsidiary view?
Any help gratefully received.

Hello @ChrisG532 ,
Good spot with the summary that helps signifcantly and you can always use a SUM to get the summaries at a later stage.
As for the requirements, I believe - talking from memory- that the question was more looking to the specific space of the module, but do you really need the 2 initial line items when you can use a system module to execute the SUM in demand? If you agree that those are not really required, you would be able to reduce the space further and will likely get closer to the exam answer.
Hope that helped!
Kind regards,
Bruno Rodriguez
