RANK on Total & Sort Nested Dimension

Hey builders, I'm trying to match a mockup, but having trouble building it in Anaplan.

User Story:

I need to rank all projects by their total cost (highest to lowest) while showing the breakdown of Project Total Cost by each Cost Pool (if there is a value in a cost pool).

Rows: Projects and Cost Pool

Columns: Cost

My filter for hiding Cost Pools with value - 0 is working correctly. I've been playing around with RANK function but cannot figure out how to rank by Project Total or by All Cost Pools sum. Even with trying to sort, I get the error "Cannot sort a nested axis - sorting an axis with nested dimensions is not supported."

What would be the closest solution to build this out to match the task?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Tykii,

You can use Order List Action from the actions tab. For that, you need to do the following thing:

    1. Create another line item: project cost with project dimension only and refer to that to your cost line item

    2. Go to actions tab and select Order List action and order the list either in descending or ascending order using the project cost line item

Whenever you want to sort, you can run that action as a button in UX.

If this if of any help, please let us know.
