Selected Versions as a Dimension

The model I have created has 4 version. I have a module with versions as a dimension. Is is possible to have only 2 versions as dimension. In the blueprint mode I see we can either select 'All' or 'Not Applicable' for versions as a dimension. 

I need this because I want to use the Edit From, Edit To functionality of the versions but also adding all 4 versions as a dimension would increase the model size. 

 

Is there any other alternative where I can remove the edit access to a line item based on Time Dimension ?

1. There is no option of subset for versioning so, no you cannot have only 2 versions, if model sizing is the issue because of versioning then use custom versioning.

2. yes, you can do that to particular line item. by adding additional layering of control which is DCA.
