Hi Team,
Please help me in understanding how can we import data from IBM sterliling on premise server to Anaplan and automate it.
Automating data imports from an IBM Sterling on-premise server to Anaplan can be achieved through a few different methods. Here are some steps you can follow:
Determine the data source: Identify the data that needs to be imported from the IBM Sterling on-premise server to Anaplan. This could be transactional data or reference data.
Choose a data integration tool: Choose a data integration tool that can connect to the IBM Sterling on-premise server and Anaplan. Some popular options include Mulesoft, Informatica, and Talend.
Configure the data integration tool: Once you have chosen a data integration tool, you will need to configure it to connect to both the IBM Sterling on-premise server and Anaplan. This will involve providing connection details such as server name, credentials, and authentication method.
Define the data mappings: Define the data mappings between the source data from the IBM Sterling on-premise server and the target data in Anaplan. This will involve identifying which data fields should be mapped to which Anaplan modules and dimensions.
Schedule the data import: Set up a schedule for the data import to occur automatically. This could be done daily, weekly, or monthly depending on the frequency of updates to the data.
Test and monitor the data import: Before deploying the automated data import process, it's essential to test it thoroughly to ensure that the data is being imported correctly. You should also monitor the data import process regularly to detect and resolve any issues that may arise.
These are basic requirements to be checked before integration.
Below is one the example you can verify

echo Importing data into Anaplan...
call %ANAPLAN_CONNECT_SCRIPT% import -file "<path_to_data_file>" -workspace %ANAPLAN_WORKSPACE% -model %ANAPLAN_MODEL% -user %ANAPLAN_USER% -password %ANAPLAN_PASSWORD%
echo Data import complete.

Hello, I’m running into a recurring issue when importing CSV files into Anaplan, specifically with dates in February for the years 2028, 2029, and beyond. Here’s what’s happening: In Excel, the date format is set to Custom (e.g., 2/26/2025). When imported into Anaplan, the date is interpreted as 26-Feb, where: Month = Feb…
Hey everyone, I wanted to share the Anaplan Python SDK with you. It's a Python Library that wraps all Anaplan APIs and makes it easier to interact with Anaplan programmatically. It is mostly designed with Data Integration Scenarios in mind, but it does support all APIs including ALM, SCIM, Audit, and Cloud Works. Please…
Hello, I am receiving an 'Anaplan Upload Failed' Status Description when testing my integration with a Big Query dataset. The integration imports data from BQ to our Anaplan model. No other details given in the error log. I suspect that Cloudworks is not even picking up the file but am not sure what we did wrong on the set…
