Is it possible to export details of all the subsets as is possible with the general lists table?

We can export the general list and can determine the subsets of a particular list in Excel. But exporting only the subset is not possible in Anaplan yet.
Does anyone have any documentation on the trade-offs of having 1 model for all components of planning (service revenue, product revenue, labour planning), vs multiple models 1 for each and a consolidation model to tie it all together?
