Can anyone explain why are we adding these formulas in the module?

Formulas are the logics that are written to slice and dice data across the model. This is done to channelize the data to achieve a desired final output.
If the certification training modules have asked you to create a module and write a formula. Then it must be for some future build work that would require this particular module in some way or the other.
