When changing format options for a row/column on a grid card, instead of selecting the item from a dropdown list, a nice QoL feature would be to auto-select the item directly on the grid, clicking it.
Is that a suggestion or a question? I believe it won't be easier to auto-fill the dropdown based on a click on a list item, as the dropdown will be dimensioned by the user. While having such a feature could be beneficial, it might not provide significant advantages for developers/ end users. If selection is needed, synchronization or hierarchy filters are already available to view the data by clicking on the list item. Implementing a similar option for dropdowns would be structurally challenging and might not yield substantial gains.
Hi Victor, I agree on the provided info. I think this makes sense as more of a page-builder QoL enhancement. If the row or column is already visible on the grid, being able to use the selected item instead of searching again in the dropdown would save time, especially on larger grids. Even a partial solution, like pre-filling the dropdown from the current grid selection, could be helpful.
Cheers,
James
