Please go through the training lessons again, adding a line item is one of the very initial topics.
Click on the triangle first(Blueprint mode) then click on the + sign next to it.
@Clive - Whenever you have to add a line item you have to go to the blueprint view.
As mentioned above, the triangle button at the top of the module will take you to the blueprint view.
Also, you can go to the blueprint view by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Spacebar once you have open your module.
