Level 3 Sprint 1 9.3 % differences

Hi,

When comparing the values in my model with the example given in build 9.3 Level 3 sprint 1 I'm getting slightly different splits for Quarters.

Mine:

Example:

The FY20 numbers align so it is only the QTR split that is the issue. I have verified my data set at every stage and it aligns to the examples all but here. I have had a look at the imported PY data and use Candyate as an example:

Based on that data the % split for the quarters should be:

QTR 1: 120580/491779 = 24.52%

QTR 2: 126147/491779 = 25.66%

QTR 3: 121159/491779 = 24.64%

QTR 4: 123866/491779 = 25.19%

This conforms to my % calculations:

When you apply these % splits to the final account sales targets you get these numbers:

Which differs from the example given. I've tried rounding too to see if that is the cause of the difference but did not find anything.

Can you provide some clarity if I'm using the wrong PY data, % calculation formula or if my final sales account target splits is correct to use.

Regards,

Michael

    Hello @MichaelXu

Well your appproach is correct however you have not used the correct basis to split the final account sales targets into quarters ,

we need to use the CY initial sales account target split not the revenue to split the values

Example attached , you are using PY account revenue to split , however we need to use Initial account sales target which we get by multiplying initial country target by the account to total revenue split
