Workflow - Enable Completion Check

Hi,

I'm building a simple workflow, and looking to incorporate the Enable Completion Check to control whether the workflow can be completed or not.

My line item for Enable Completion Check I have set to false, specifically to check whether it is working or not, but I am still able to run the workflow.

Is there something fundamental that I'm doing wrong?

Hi Sean.

Do you happen to be using the same account to kick-start the workflow and complete the task?

We have some logic in the completion checking that means a Workflow Owner can take executive action and complete tasks, should there be a bottleneck in the process, and for this we don't require the completion check to be true.

If you have a second account that isn't a Workflow Owner, or a colleague who can help test, then this can validate whether I've got this right or not.

If that still doesn't do the trick, then it may need a support case.

Hi, A similar question, but I'm also building workflows using Decision Tasks, and the Enable Completion Check doesn't appear to be an option for this type of Task. Is this the case or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Sean.

Sorry for the delay in response - you've not missed anything, we don't support completion checking on decision steps (aka approval steps) given the intent of these steps is to review and approve rather than to complete work.
