Hi,
Is anybody else experiencing issues with the Excel Add -in when using Single Sign in? I can only access it when using the old sign in method.
It seems you’re not alone in facing issues with the Excel Add-in when using Single Sign-On (SSO). Many users have reported similar problems, which could be due to compatibility issues or specific settings in your Office environment. To troubleshoot, ensure your Excel is up to date by going to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now. Try signing out of Excel and then signing back in using the SSO method to ensure the correct credentials are used. Also, check that the add-in is enabled in the Excel options menu. If SSO continues to fail, consider using the old sign-in method as a temporary workaround. If the issue persists, reaching out to Microsoft Support for more detailed assistance might be necessary.
I hope this helps!
Yes, some users have reported similar issues with the Excel Add-in when using Single Sign-On. A possible workaround for now is to switch back to the old sign-in method, as you've mentioned. You might also want to check if your organization's SSO settings are properly configured for the add-in, or try updating the add-in to the latest version, as that sometimes resolves compatibility issues.
I had trouble with this as well, and discovered it worked for me by going to Authentication Settings and choosing the following:
Then, for subsequent log ins SSO works. I hope this works for you!

We've been building a tool called aplan4sheets and we'd genuinely like input from this community — both on what we've built so far and on what we should prioritize next. The problem we set out to solve: Anaplan's Excel add-in is Windows-centric, and there's no real native way to pivot Anaplan data in Google Sheets. We…
