Data not pulling in Dashboard from dource module

We have a problem.

About us - we have a smaal-medium size model of about 23GB with about 200 users. We operate arou d 50 or so Business Units rolling up through Divisonal and Group structure Most User interaction is through Dashboard (though there is a fair amount of Excel Add-In reporting) which has DCA locking applied. A number of Versions are in in operation.

Our problem is this: data is entered into Dashboard A and does not present in the associated module, or in a refferenced module/Dashboard, unless the Version/Business Unit is changed and changed back.

So, lets say $500 is entered into 'Cash Input Dashboard'. It should appear in 'Cash Input Module',but doesn't - unless I change Version or BU and ganged back again. The same is true of the 'Cash Reporting Module' which feeds the 'Cash Reporting Dashboard'.

When the originally input $500 does appear the calculation/presentation is in order.

The problem is intermittent, and prior to this week all data flowed with no unexpected intervention.

I have no idea of the cause, but feel this should not be happening.

Does anyone have any experience of this kind of behaviour?

    Hi @ChrisG532,
When you say the version/business unit is changed/changed back do you mean the page selectors?

  • 1.Do you have any filters/show hide applied on the page selectors/grids?
    2.Are you using subsidiary views?
3.Have you tried recreating the view in another dashboard & see if that works (No filters, just publish the grid in a custom view & see if it refreshes the data?)

  • There are no filters or biews in operation. This is in a 'classic dashboard'.

The calculation module is presented to the dashboard using a straight forward "Publish to Dashboard" command. It couldn't be simpler.

As far as we can determine there is nothing between the module and the dashboard.

The problem is intermittent and random, not restricted to any range of dashboards.
