Parent with the same name with its baby item will also map to baby item when Import

Is anyone facing the problem?

It worked all right till last week, but I fund it went wrong yesterday.

For example,

If Importing from Module A to Module B, and both of them applies to Dimension X, which has hierarchical structure. If Parent NNN has the same name as Son NNN, then It become Twice after import to B.

  • Do you have codes available for these items and have you filtered saved view of Module A to show only leaf level items?

    Thank you for replying!

Of course I can filter the saved view or select the level, but since It was normal by last week and suddenly degrade from yesterday. I concern some releases impacted our production environment.

I'm debating whether to do a review of all imports or wait for supporters to confirm and maybe fix ASAP.

  • Did those already before last week have same name? As by basic Anaplan behaviour if multiple upload items map to numeric item those will be summed together. Thus if there is risk of items having same name it's better to use code as identifier or then limit the source view only to lowest level.

Yes, didn't change anything but the result changed. Of course I have changed the saved viewed to hide the parent level to correct it.

Here is a simple reproduction of this case.

After running import, shall I get 200 here? (100 is expected)

  • Yes the 200 is correct result in here as you have two items called "a" with value 100 on both so then on the target result is 100+100=200.

It was 100 2 weeks ago. I didn't think it would map summary level. Tab Y shows parent level is grayed out.
