Cannot refer to a line item in a different model

Hello everyone,

Might be a very silly question. I am trying to refer to a line item in a different model but Anaplan is not doing it. Normally when I am in the editor or formula bar, I can go to different model and refer to a line item there. But between these particular models, I cannot do it. Its driving me crazy :-)

What the possible things I can look at fixing this. Where it might be possibly going wrong.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    You can refer to another line item within another MODULE, but never to another model.

    @logikalyan - Referring a line item between two models is not possible but you can send the data from one model to another for that particular line item.

    @logikalyan you cannot refer line items from another model. But if you need data from another model, You can try importing the data into the Target model from the Source model.

    Thanks for your responses.

    May be I did not put across my question properly. Is there anyway I can get the data without importing from a different model. I am basically doing my L3 and need to get historic revenue in a different model (DataHub). I cannot import the data as well as sales planning model use Accountproduct# list.

    So I wonder how this can be achieved.

    Hi team,

    I am asking this question in the same place as I feel its related.

    I have imported the base line forecast into DAT01 in sales planning model. And this model is dimensionalised by Country and Product Family (this has to be as thats what we have in csv file). Now how can I move this to DAT02 which has Account»Product list which is completely different dimension and also there are no quarterly numbers in the csv.

    Question: Any one used a combined list like this in real time. I have not in last 8 years. Can anyone explain what is the value?

    Furthermore, if I try getting FY19 values directly from datahub via a view and import, how can I do the mapping in the import when DAT02 is dimensionalise by Account..product list?

    Any hint or direction on this will be a great help. I feel like I am stuck here ….
