Summary Calculation for Hidden amounts (DCA)
Anaplanners, I have got a question:
I have a module with the following setup:Dimensions: Scenarios, Category, Time (Month)Line Items: Operational Metrics (e.g., Maintenance Costs, Revenue Earned, etc.)
Another Module: Controls whether specific months (e.g., April, May) should be marked as "Inactive".
When months are marked as "Inactive," the data is hidden via DCA, but Anaplan still includes the values in the yearly summary calculation.
This results in an incorrect annual total since the hidden months are still being aggregated in the backend.
How can I ensure that the values for "Inactive" months are excluded from the yearly summary calculation, rather than just being hidden?
Would adjusting the summary method or using a conditional calculation be the best approach? Any guidance would be appreciated!

Think about creating a new line item (if Active then 1 else 0) and then utilize this in a Ratio summary method for the original line item (divisor would be 1).
