Importing Data into Parent Elements with breakback enabled

I would like to know whether it would be possible to import data into a line item against parent elements of the list which has break-back enabled. I have tried doing the same but can't find any way to map Parent Elements.

Unfortunately not. You can copy/paste into parent items with breakback, but not through import.

Maybe put this on Ideas Exchange if it is important for you and your client

As a work around, you could import the Parent values into a separate module dimensioned by parent, calculate the "breakback" at the child level and then run an internal import into the children module (for the data input line item)
