Best Practice for importing lists from DataHub - From list or Saved View?
Hi,
I'm wondering what is the best bractice when having a datahub and a spoke model and you want to get the lists up in the spoke model. Is it best to simply import lists directly from the hub to the spoke, or is it better to build modules in the datahub with the list as a dimension along with its details as line items and then create a saved view of that and import this to a list in the spoke model?
Best regards,
Johan

Hi @johan.marketoft ,
It's best practice to use a saved view - please see the following article for more information: Data Hub Best Practices

5.04-09 in the Planual states to always use Saved Views.https://community.anaplan.com/t5/Best-Practices/The-Planual/ta-p/49773
It will be more flexible and easier to eliminate any errors.

And you can use filters or logic to only get the data you need. As @jasonblinn stated, the Planual states to use views for these very reasons.

Hello, Johan,
the best practice is to have saved views in the DH model. And another best practice is all additional features to list items to be created in the list based modules in DH, but not in the lists 🙂
